How much is shipping?
Rates are based on each shipping address and weight of product.
Which shipping carriers do you use?
We ship via USPS Priority and Express Mail to limit transit time and ensure that your order reaches you in the freshest possible condition.
When will my order ship?
At Ava's Caramel Popcorn, every order is a custom order: we pop the popcorn, make caramel, swirl in chocolate, chop nuts, and package it all up, entirely by hand, each and every time. It's definitely a labor of love! As we are a very tiny kitchen, please allow up to 7 business days for us to craft and ship your order.
Please be aware that mail carriers can experience heavy delays around the holidays and that weather emergencies may also lead to delays in both production and shipping. In general, if you want caramel popcorn for a special occasion/holiday (and you know you do :) ) it is best to order from us with as much lead time as possible.
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
Yes! With a caveat. USPS Priority does ship to PO Boxes. But please be advised that, as delays may be incurred when shipping to a PO Box, we cannot guarantee the quality of a product that is shipped to a PO Box.
Do you ship your popcorns in hot weather?
At present we ship our popcorns from September - Mother's Day. We are currently searching for solutions to ship our product during the warm months. When it's hot outside, come visit us at one of the many farmers markets we attend or patronize one of the many wonderful shops that carry our confections.
What are your shipping policies?
Please review your shipping address information carefully before submitting your order. Once your package leaves our facility, we are not responsible for packages delayed or returned as undeliverable. Should a package need to be re-shipped, you will be contacted and a second shipping charge will apply. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the quality of a product that is re-shipped.
Of course we sincerely hope this never happens -- and so far, knock on wood, it hasn't! -- but please be advised that we are not responsible for packages that are delayed by the shipping company or for packages that become stolen or damaged after they have been delivered to the address specified (so if you are sending caramel popcorn as a gift, you may want to advise the recipient that a package is due). We also cannot assume responsibility for packages left unattended in warm/sunny conditions (please see weather note above). Shipping costs cannot be refunded.
What is your return policy?
The most important thing to us is to have you, our customers, be thrilled with our product and service. We prepare your caramel popcorn with the utmost care and attention and we personally ensure that your order leaves our facility in perfect condition. As our popcorn is a food product, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. That said, we understand that in life, sometimes the unexpected happens. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us and we'll do our best to make you happy.
